PowerPoint Viewer

PowerPoint Viewer is a desktop showcase built with Syncfusion® libraries that demonstrates how to open, render, navigate, print, and convert Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx) files entirely from a WPF application — without Microsoft PowerPoint installed on the machine. It illustrates how a developer can combine Syncfusion's high-fidelity file-format engines with a custom WPF shell to deliver a lightweight alternative to PowerPoint for reviewing and distributing slide decks.

Components used

• Presentation (PowerPoint library) — Opens .pptx files, walks every slide, and converts each slide into a high-resolution image and a thumbnail for the viewer canvas and thumbnail strip.
• Presentation to PDF Converter — Converts the loaded PowerPoint deck into a PDF document (including hidden slides) for one-click export from the toolbar.
• PDF Library — Generates and writes the exported PDF document on disk and supports print-layout calculations for the slide print flow.
